             ENGLISH -  LONG 'i' 1st PERIOD 

LEARNING OUTCOMES  -
The learner will be able to -
- read the words with long 'i'
- write the words with long 'i' 

INSTRUCTIONS -
1.Take out your English notebook and a sharpened pencil .
2. Write Date on the left side and CW on the right side .
3. Write the heading .
4. First read the words with long 'i' .
5. Start your CW , complete it neatly .

- Rule 1 - The long 'i' vowel sound is made by two vowels that    are combined. 'ie' . for example - pie , tie , lie .etc 
- Rule 2 - Letter 'y' also sometimes has a sound of long 'i', when it is written at the end of the word . For example - my , try , why . etc
 - Rule  3 - 'igh' also make the long 'i' sound . For example - high , flight , night etc
